DiSCOVER: The Bund and Nanjing Road

We started off the last full day in China by going to The Bund. Everyone had free time to stroll down the boardwalk and take pictures of the Shanghai skyline with the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The Bund features 26 different architectural style buildings including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. The sky was filled with smog, but it was still a very surreal feeling to be seeing something that I’ve only seen in TV dramas.

Next we went to explore Nanjing Road. Of course everyone had to stop by Miniso when we saw it! This was probably everyone’s favorite store for gifts, souvenirs and socks!

Later, we made our way over to the mall to shop and grab a snack before dinner. Walking around the massive shopping centre, we found a Pizza Hut!

The Peking duck pizza immediately caught our eye and of course, we had to try it! We also ordered a seafood pizza with bacon wrapped scallops. Both pizzas were amazing. It did not disappoint!

Then we had dinner at Din Tai Fung! My table ordered a variety of dishes. Pork, chicken and shrimp dumplings, beef noodle soup, bean curd and spicy cucumbers.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel via the metro. It was a different experience compared to the TTC.

Back at the hotel, we were all planning out how to spend the last night in China! Some of us went out to karaoke, a few of us went out and got hot stone massages and the rest of us had a relaxing night in watching a movie while enjoying snacks! Regardless of how everyone spent the last night, we all had a great time with stories to share!
